Share your AI-powered responses from Google Search is the official guide for sharing generative search results. Google allows users to generate and share direct links to summaries from AI Overviews or AI Mode. This feature makes it easy to pass along complex research, multi-step answers, or deep-dive summaries to others. Prerequisites for Sharing
Before you can generate a shareable link, you must meet specific account requirements: Account Type: Use a personal Google Account.
Feature Access: Be opted into generative AI features like “AI Mode” via Search Labs.
Settings: Turn on Web & App Activity to enable your history and personalized recommendations. Links cannot be created if this setting is disabled. How to Share Responses on Android and Mobile Web
You can easily distribute your AI-generated summaries directly from the Google App or a mobile browser:
Generate a Response: Ask a question to trigger an AI Overview or enter AI Mode.
Tap Share: Locate the Share icon at the bottom of the AI response block. Select a Method:
Social Platforms: Tap a specific social media icon to post the response directly using on-screen prompts.
Copy Link: Choose the option to copy the link to your clipboard.
Paste and Send: Insert the link into an email draft, messaging app, or online forum. Troubleshooting Missing Sharing Options
If you cannot find the share icon or generate links, verify the following account configurations:
Incognito Mode: Ensure you are not browsing in an incognito window, which blocks history-dependent AI tools.
Workspace Restrictions: School or enterprise Google Workspace accounts cannot generate or view these shared layouts.
System Updates: If the feature suddenly disappears, clear your app cache or log out and back in to reset the account-side layout cache.
